Vacation Ideas … Are You Looking for Extraordinary Different Ones?
Do you enjoy traveling and experiencing new places on vacation? Always on the lookout for extraordinary vacation ideas?
In 1940, an advertising executive named James Webb Young published a short guide titled, A Technique for Producing Ideas.
Young believed the process of creative connection always occurred in five steps. Gather new material. At first, you learn. During this stage you focus on 1) learning specific material directly related to your task and 2) learning general material by becoming fascinated with a wide range of concepts. Thoroughly work over the materials in your mind.
During this stage, you examine what you have learned by looking at the facts from different angles and experimenting with fitting various ideas together. Step away from the problem.
Next, you put the problem completely out of your mind and go do something else that excites you and energizes you. Let your idea return to you. At some point, but only after you have stopped thinking about it, your idea will come back to you with a flash of insight and renewed energy.
Shape and develop your idea based on feedback. For any idea to succeed, you must release it out into the world, submit it to criticism, and adapt it as needed.
If so, keep reading as I will offer four idea recommendations and vacation ideas for you to ponder:

Touring the Thousand Islands of New York and Canada
Are you always on the lookout for a new weekend getaway
experience? My wife and I semi-retired about 4 years ago and weekend getaways,
especially places we haven’t seen, are always a priority with us. Recently we had an excellent
long weekend touring the Thousand Islands.

The
Best Finger Lakes Wineries to Visit
My family and I have spent 31 of a 35-year career in the upstate New York Finger Lakes Region, and despite growing up in the southeast; I can’t imagine a better place to live. So you can imagine we are quite familiar with this region and its wine country.
Last few years my career took me to short term assignments in California, Virginia, Florida, and Colorado, all places with some established wine industry that we visited on several occasions.
At the conclusion of these assignments, it was time to retire … a good time to spend the summer getting reacquainted with the Finger Lakes Region (to include it’s growing wine industry). As a result, we are writing several articles on our research and resulting in travels.
We recently posted another article on Finger Lakes getaways:
